I came up with Mezze Turkish Grill, a charming and captivating restaurant offering authentic Turkish cuisine through rich, fresh, and delicious culinary recipes showcasing a mix of sweet and savory flavors. The menu focuses on grilled dishes such as kebab, chicken, and lamb. Customers will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience in a warm, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.
Our mission is to serve outstanding Turkish cuisine through a memorable and delightful dining experience.
Based in Montreal, we aspire to attract more people to our restaurant, especially towards those that span beyond our target markets. Ex: French Canadian population in Quebec. In the future, we aim to make ourselves a distinguished restaurant.
Mezze’s blue brand colour was inspired by the traditional Iznik ceramics of Turkey, an art form that dates back to the fifteenth century during the Ottoman Empire. Known for its vibrant blue hues and intricate designs, Iznik ceramics are an important part of Turkish artistic heritage. Red was chosen as a high-contrast colour to represent the country’s flag, while off-white serves as a neutral tone that balances the palette.
The sharp geometric element repeated across Mezze’s brand items is a take on Anatolian kilim motifs, which were a symbolic visual language woven into rugs (kilims) by nomadic and village weavers across Turkey. These motifs are commonly composed of triangles, diamonds, zig-zags, and stepped angles, which were especially prominent in the Seljuk and Ottoman empires (13th-17th centuries), in their carpets, embroidery, architecture and ceramics.
By combining blue Turkish ceramic art with Anatolian geometric motifs, Mezze creates a distinctive modern brand identity. This is reflected in its repeated brand-element pattern across the interior design, menus, stationery, and merchandise.
