Using Adobe Lightroom Classic, I created a photobook that reflects industry standard image retouching and image layout. I decided to delve into street photography as the book’s theme as I was inspired by this photography style while scrolling through pinterest. The core subject in this style are people in their natural state. Capturing live moments whether they be raw emotions such as laughter, anger, joy, awkwardness, or stillness (especially in nature and architecture shots). I believe street photography is powerful in that it brings out the realness of it’s subject or place.
I took all my images in downtown Montreal and it’s most popular streets, cafes, and touristic locations during daytime between the months of September and October. And the book was printed using Blurb.

To organize the book, I introduce a simple table of contents dividing the book into five locations: Old Port, Place Vauquelin, Sherbrooke Street, St-Joseph’s Oratory, and Cafes. I’ve also create illustrations for each section to give a cue to the reader when the chapter begins and ends. For the illustrations, I was inspired by an artist’s postcard displayed at Cafe Olimpico.
